At House 67 - where Uncle Ho lived and worked during his final days before passing away, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong respectfully offered incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved father of the Vietnamese people, who devoted his whole life to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.
Speaking to the staff of the relic site, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong welcomed them for doing a good job in preserving and conserving valuable artifacts and documents about Uncle Ho and introducing his life and revolutionary career to the masses.
In particular, this year, the staff of the Relic Site have practically studied and followed Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, choosing and focusing on implementing the theme: Studying and following Uncle Ho's diplomatic style through specific daily tasks, from the style of receiving guests, attitude, and behavior towards compatriots, soldiers and international tourists visiting the Relic Site.
The General Secretary was pleased to learn that since the beginning of the year, the relic site has welcomed 2.376 million domestic and international visitors, the highest number of visitors ever.
On the morning of September 2, many people and international tourists visited the Mausoleum to pay their respects to Uncle Ho and the Relic Site. People and tourists came here to pay their respects and express their gratitude to Uncle Ho for his great contributions, and to pray for the country to develop peacefully and prosperously, and for the people to be warm, well-off and happy.
Welcoming Independence Day this year, our country continues to maintain socio-political stability, strengthen foreign affairs both bilaterally and multilaterally, the country's role and position are increasingly enhanced; the work of Party building and political system building has achieved important results, consolidating people's trust in the Party.
The General Secretary emphasized: The most important thing is the people's hearts, the atmosphere of excitement among the people, and their increasing trust in the Party's leadership.
Respectfully remembering and expressing gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong mentioned the book “The Revolutionary Path” published in 1927, a collection of lectures by comrade Nguyen Ai Quoc at training classes for cadres of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association.
The General Secretary pointed out that it is not by chance that the book was recognized as a national treasure. This is a bedside book, a handbook for Vietnamese revolutionaries, for the Vietnamese people, and a cornerstone laying the foundation for the basic ideology and theory of our country's revolution.
With a simple, clear, easy-to-understand, easy-to-remember, easy-to-do style, Uncle Ho wrote in the book: What is revolution? Why do we have to make revolution? What revolutions have people made in the world? Which ones succeeded, which ones failed, and why? What should we do in our country? What is the object of the revolution? Who are the revolutionary forces? What is the goal of the revolution? That is to make the country independent, everyone has food to eat, clothes to wear, everyone can study... To make a revolution, first of all, there must be a Party to lead, the leader must be steadfast for the revolution to succeed. And the Party must have a core ideology, must have theory, have doctrine, without an ideology it is like a person without intelligence. He pointed out: There are many doctrines, many isms, but the most correct, the most certain, the most powerful revolution is Marxism-Leninism.
The revolutionary force includes intellectuals, farmers, workers, and merchants, in which the working class is the core, must build a great national unity bloc, then connect with the international community, must receive enthusiastic help and support from international friends. Then Uncle Ho wrote: What is a revolutionary? What are the qualities of a revolutionary? At the same time, he emphasized the need to have revolutionary ethics, pointing out 23 specific requirements, which are not to be selfish, not to be greedy for fame, must be diligent, frugal, honest, upright, fair-minded, and impartial, especially to fight against individualism, promote revolutionary ethics, and wipe out individualism...
In the new revolutionary stage of the Party and the nation, we must be absolutely loyal to the Party's ideals and guidelines, and to the path that beloved Uncle Ho chose.
The General Secretary hopes that the cadres and staff of the Relic Site, through their daily work, will tell specific stories about Uncle Ho, thereby conveying and spreading his ideology, morality and style widely among compatriots, soldiers nationwide and international friends whenever they come to visit him.
At the same time, each cadre and employee of the Relic Site needs to constantly train and strive in work and life, complete assigned tasks well, and be worthy of being pioneers in studying and following Uncle Ho.
Afterwards, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited Uncle Ho's fish pond, met and talked intimately with locals and tourists visiting the relic site./.
