66 million VND awarded to support 3 orphaned students
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to share the difficulties and pain of 3 orphaned students in Thanh Nho commune (Thanh Chuong), a group of local young people organized a fundraiser to raise 66 million VND to support the children to continue going to school.
On the afternoon of September 21, at the home of three children Nguyen Van Hieu (10 years old), Nguyen Thi Thuy (14 years old), and Nguyen Van Duc (17 years old), in Nho Phong hamlet, Thanh Nho commune, a group of local young people presented 66 million VND, which the group had raised, to the children.

It is known that the family of Hieu, Thuy and Duc is in difficult circumstances. Hieu is in 5th grade, Thuy is in 9th grade and Duc is in 12th grade. Because their mother left a long time ago, only their father, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, works, takes care of their children's education and their grandmother who is over 80 years old, so their family life is quite difficult.
Recently, after contacting an acquaintance, Mr. Thanh decided to go to the South to find a job and earn more income. However, when he arrived in Binh Phuoc, due to poor health, he had to take a bus back to his hometown. On the way home, he suffered a stroke and passed away.
Faced with the difficult and painful situation of the children's families, a group of 4 young people in Thanh Nho commune called on local people, children living far from home and benefactors to join hands to help. After only 2 days of calling, the group raised 66 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Thinh - a member of the group shared: The amount of money raised is everyone's love and affection for the children and their families, hoping that they will overcome pain and hardship to rise up and continue going to school./.
