Giving gifts for Tet to the border in Que Phong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 16, the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Red Cross Society jointly organized the program "Warm Tet at the border - connecting love" in Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district.
At the program,Provincial Fatherland Front Committee,Red Cross, together with representatives of sponsors, presented 221 gifts to poor households in Thong Thu commune, each gift worth 500 thousand VND (including cash and gifts).

The program also awarded Thong Thu Border Guard Station 3 55-inch TVs, supported the construction of clean water tanks and funds and equipment for Covid-19 prevention with a total value of more than 50 million VND; presented 500 warm uniforms to Muong Piet Kindergarten, Thong Thu I Primary School and Thong Thu II Primary School, presented 1 TV, 6 water purifiers; 1 portable speaker, 300 classroom floor mats.

At the program, 10 livelihood cows were also given to poor households in Muong Noc and Dong Van communes, each worth 15 million VND. Supported the construction of a charity house for 1 poor household.
The total value awarded in the program "Warm Tet in the border - connecting love" in Thong Thu commune is more than 500 million VND.

The program "Warm Tet in the border - connecting love" is a noble activity of agencies, organizations, and philanthropists inside and outside the province, aiming to share and support poor households and disadvantaged students, encouraging and comforting them to help them enjoy spring and celebrate Tet more fully and warmly.
