Donated 46 wheelchairs to the disabled in Quynh Luu

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 10, the Vietnam Association for the Support of Disabled People and Orphans organized a ceremony to present 46 wheelchairs to disabled people in Quynh Luu district.

Attending the ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Dinh Lieu - Chairman of the Association for the Support of the Disabled and Orphans of Vietnam.

Quynh Luu district currently has 342 people with severe disabilities, whose daily life mainly depends on their families and relatives. In recent years, all levels, sectors, agencies, units, and mass organizations in the district have had many activities and policies to help people with disabilities overcome themselves and integrate into community life.

Give wheelchairs to the disabled.

To contribute to Quynh Luu in caring for and supporting the disabled with means of transportation to facilitate their travel, on this occasion, the Humanitarian Wheelchair Mission Organization, the Giving Back Childhood Organization in Da Nang and the Vietnam Children's Humanitarian Support Organization donated 46 wheelchairs to 46 severely disabled people in 33 communes and towns across the district.

The gifts given by the Association to the disabled are a great source of spiritual encouragement, creating conditions for them to be able to move around more easily and conveniently in their daily activities.

At the donation ceremony, disabled people and their relatives were also instructed by staff of the Humanitarian Wheelchair Mission Organization on assembly techniques, sitting posture, and how to use and maintain wheelchairs properly to maximize the effectiveness of the vehicle./.
