(Baonghean.vn) - On May 5, a working delegation of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union led by comrade Thai Minh Sy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Student Association came to present the Brave Youth Badge to Dang Ngoc Thai An - a student of class 9D, Quynh Hong Secondary School, Quynh Luu District.
At Quynh Hong Secondary School, comrade Thai Minh Sy expressed his admiration for An's brave action and emphasized that this is a shining example for Nghe An youth union members in particular and the whole country in general to follow.

Previously, on April 20, Dang Ngoc Thai An was on his way home to get the missing documents to make a citizen identification card. When he passed by the Quynh Hong Commune Memorial, Quynh Luu District, he saw a group of students standing and shouting. Immediately, he stopped his car and ran in to see and saw a student (a first grader at Quynh Hong Primary School) struggling in the lake, his body completely submerged, only his fingers were visible. With a brave spirit, An jumped in and brought the student to shore, performed chest compressions, artificial respiration and promptly saved the first grader's life.
