At 0:30 on December 25, 2017, in Yen Thanh town area, Yen Thanh district police coordinated with Traffic Police Team 1/7 under the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Police to inspect a pickup truck with license plate 43C-16743 driven by Phan Van Liem (born in 1983), residing in Zone 1, Ai Nghia town, Dai Loc, Quang Nam.

Also on the vehicle were Le Duc Vu (born 1986), Vo Duc Tam (born 1984), both residing in Ngoc Hoi, Kon Tum; and Bui Van Binh (born 1977), residing in Dai Loc, Quang Nam. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle was carrying 326 foreign-made fireworks, each 36 pieces, with a total weight of 450 kg.

With the excellent achievements of the Yen Thanh District Police, Traffic Police Team 1-7 of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Police and related units, the Provincial Police awarded 5 million VND to the district police and 2 million VND to the professional teams.
