(Baonghean.vn) - This is the first year the contest has been held across the province, but it has received more than 190,000 entries from students, in two forms: paper presentations and video production.

On the afternoon of March 15, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Radio and Television Station jointly organized the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the "Reading Culture Ambassador" contest.

The "Reading Culture Ambassador" contest was launched to all Departments of Education, high schools, continuing education centers, vocational education centers, continuing education centers and some vocational schools in the province. After nearly 1 month of implementation, nearly 190,000 candidates participated in the contest. After the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee98 entries were selected for the final round.

This is the first year the “Reading Culture Ambassador” contest has been held across the province. However, according to the organizers, this year’s entries are consistent in both quality and quantity in both written and video formats.

Many entries were carefully prepared, presented neatly, with beautiful handwriting, clear writing style, on-topic, and scientifically organized; drew out meanings and lessons; had deep and reasonable connections to the individual, the unit, and the locality; and were truly the spiritual product of each contestant.

The contest is also a useful playground to help students understand more about reading culture and gradually spread the love of books to everyone.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded collective prizes to two units from the Department of Education and Training of Vinh City, namely: Ha Huy Tap Secondary School (with the most participants) and Dang Thai Mai Secondary School (with the most first prize winners).

In addition, 24 other outstanding individuals were also awarded with the following contents: Sharing feelings award, Creative story award to encourage reading, Creative story award to encourage reading and illustration, Bilingual creative story award to encourage reading, Best poem award to encourage reading...

After the competition, the Provincial People's Committee will publish a yearbook, selecting and introducing quality works from all submitted works and printing books to distribute to schools so that schools can use them as extracurricular materials for students.
