Implementing the Project to build Nam Dan into a model new rural district

On March 14, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the Plan to implement Decision No. 17/QD-TTg dated January 4, 2019 of the Prime Minister approving the Pilot Project "Building Nam Dan district, Nghe An province to become a model new rural district.

The plan aims to specify the contents of the project implementation; develop an implementation roadmap, assign tasks and coordinate implementation; and at the same time raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, organizations and individuals in the process of implementing the project.

In addition, to ensure close coordination between relevant levels, sectors, localities and units during the implementation process, promptly urge guidance and remove obstacles and difficulties. Focus on propagating and thoroughly implementing the project with specific tasks such as: Improving the overall quality of NTM criteria, building a model NTM district on "Developing culture associated with tourism".

The project is divided into two implementation phases: 2018 - 2020 and 2021.period 2021 - 2025.The overall objective of the Project is to comprehensively improve the quality of new rural construction in the area; preserve and promote cultural values, revolutionary historical traditions, as a driving force to promote socio-economic development; through tourism and service activities, turn Nam Dan into a model new rural district in "Cultural development associated with tourism", contributing to creating a nationwide spread.

At the meeting, relevant departments and agencies contributed specific comments to the draft plan, such as: adding the proportion of residential houses with septic tanks;supplement and edit the content about hSupport affiliated units to help Nam Dan build some community and experiential tourism models; propose the General Department of Tourism to connect travel companies to help the district build and connect tours and tourist routes in the district...

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the proactive coordination between the Provincial Office for New Rural Construction Coordination and Nam Dan District in developing the plan. At the same time, he requested the Office for New Rural Construction Coordination and Nam Dan District People's Committee to seriously absorb the comments and work with the departments to unify each specific content; Focus on completing before March 20 to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval at the regular meeting in March 2019.
