Deploying the 2016 rural, agricultural and fishery census

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 15, under the chairmanship of Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for the General Census of Rural, Agricultural and Fishery held a meeting to deploy the 2016 General Census.

Overview of the meeting.

According to Decision No. 1225/QD-TTg, dated July 31, 2015 of the Prime Minister, the 2016 general census of rural areas, agriculture and fisheries, this survey includes 3 issues: Information on agricultural, forestry, salt production and fisheries; information on rural areas and information on rural residents, in order to plan policies and strategies for socio-economic development.

The subjects of the survey are labor of households living in rural areas and households participating in agriculture, forestry, salt production and fishery activities in urban areas; production conditions of units participating in agriculture, forestry, salt production and fishery activities; living conditions of rural households and households participating in agriculture, forestry, salt production and fishery activities in urban areas; rural socio-economic infrastructure.

The Steering Committee for the General Census of Agriculture, Rural Areas and Fisheries of the province has identified 6 key tasks in the coming time: Developing a plan, content of the survey work, and propaganda work; considering proposals to integrate the survey of some indicators if necessary; centrally selecting surveyors, survey team leaders and implementing timely, quality and effective training; updating and processing data, reporting to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Steering Committee for timely resolution; preparing and distributing documents, stationery, etc. to all levels and sectors according to plan, ensuring requirements; directing the survey according to the plan and schedule.

The investigators are qualified, enthusiastic and time-poor local officials. The implementation period of this general rural, agricultural and fishery census begins on July 1 and ends in 1 month.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Census Committee directed: In order for this census to be highly effective, members of the steering committee must prepare sufficient documents; organize propaganda on mass media; organize training for district, commune, and village officials... members of the steering committee must closely follow the assigned areas.
