Dismantling a drug ring from the Vietnam-Laos border to Quynh Luu
(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Nhu Long and Hoang Nghia Thuan were caught red-handed with 01 heroin cake and 802 synthetic drug pills.
Quynh Luu District Police are temporarily detaining Nguyen Nhu Long (born in 1963), residing in Chau Phong Commune, Quy Chau District, and Hoang Nghia Thuan (born in 1984), residing in Dong Hieu Commune, Thai Hoa Town, for the act of illegally buying, selling, and transporting drugs.

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, Quynh Luu District Police discovered a drug trafficking and illegal transportation line on National Highway 48, the subjects bought and sold drugs from the western districts of Nghe An bordering Laos, then transported them to Thai Hoa town and Quynh Luu district for consumption. The case was quickly established and fought by Quynh Luu District Police.
On June 1, 2020, on National Highway 48B, in Quynh Chau commune, Quynh Luu district police force arrested Nguyen Nhu Long and Hoang Nghia Thuan red-handed, confiscating 01 heroin cake, 802 synthetic drug pills, and 01 motorbike.
At the time of arrest, both subjects were driving a motorbike, with Nguyen Nhu Long being the one carrying the "goods".
