Eliminated 2 special cases, seized 8 kg of crystal meth and 18,000 synthetic drug pills
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 29 and 30, Vinh City Police presided over and coordinated with relevant units to destroy two major drug trafficking and transportation cases into Vinh City and the northern provinces.
On the evening of March 29, at the Vac Temple area, Cua Rao 2 village, Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, the 218M Task Force of Vinh City Police coordinated with PC47, PC67 (Nghe An Provincial Police) and Tuong Duong District Police to promptly catch Le Van Anh (born in 1978, residing in Hoa Son commune, Do Luong district) and Bui Trung Ta (born in 1975, residing in Vong Xuyen commune, Phuc Tho district, Hanoi) in the act of illegally buying and selling drugs.
Evidence seized at the scene included a black backpack containing 6 kg of methamphetamine; a Mazda car with license plate 37A-345.51; 2 mobile phones, 7 million VND in cash and 400 USD.

The authorities arrested Xong Ba Re (born in 1979, residing in Ca Gioi village, Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district).
The seized evidence included 1 bag of snake carcasses, containing 18,000 synthetic drug pills, 2 kg of synthetic drugs in rock form, 1 mobile phone, 1 walkie-talkie and 1 sharp knife.
During the arrest, Xong Ba Re used a knife to fight back against the police but was eventually subdued by the detectives.

At the police station, the subjects confessed that they often went to mountainous districts to buy drugs from Lao people and then transported them to the North for consumption.
These are two drug trafficking rings that have existed for many years, run by people with many previous convictions for drug crimes, so their operations are very sophisticated and cunning.
