(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An police and the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security) have successfully broken up a special case to eradicate and dismantle a transnational crime ring, arresting 12 people who operated and managed the website "Thiendia2.cc" that disseminated obscene cultural products.

Recently, through professional work to grasp the situation, the Criminal Police Department, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control of the Provincial Police, co-chaired with Department 5, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control (Ministry of Public Security), discovered a line with signs of crime on the website "Thiendia2.cc" exchanging and sharing obscene cultural content, sexual relations... attracting more than 1.1 million members to participate with hundreds of millions of visits.

Regarding this website, the forum "Thien Dia" was originally named "Lau Xanh" and was divided into many different sections, including forums with obscene content, pornography, videos, images, sex stories, advertisements for prostitution, sexual relations...

To manage and operate the line, the group of subjects in the organization line is divided into dozens of administrative accounts, hierarchical with 1 total Super Admin account located abroad. The group of subjects operates according to the tasks assigned by the Super Admin, through Telegram chat, and the salary is paid monthly by the Super Admin in virtual currency.

In Vietnam, the police initially identified 12 subjects in many provinces and cities involved in the management and operation of the above-mentioned line run by Nguyen Duc Vinh (born in 1975), residing in Quan Bau ward, Vinh city, Nghe An province.

During the verification process, the Police identified this as a group of subjects committing crimes, demonstrating the nature of organized, transnational crime. The leaders and administrators of the forum always remain anonymous, conceal information; and transact using virtual currency and electronic money to pay wages to deal with the authorities.

The above-mentioned chain of spreading obscene cultural products has been operating for a long time (despite being blocked and changing domain names many times), attracting more than 1.1 million members to participate, spreading more than 19 million obscene contents, causing public outrage, negatively affecting ideology, morality, lifestyle, customs, and national cultural identity.

Faced with that situation, Nghe An Provincial Police (Criminal Police Department, Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department) and the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security) co-chaired a project to verify, combat, and eradicate the case.

After a period of monitoring and synchronous application of professional measures, on April 25, 2024, the Special Task Force organized 12 working groups to simultaneously search and arrest 12 subjects in the ring at 12 locations in many provinces and cities across the country.

In addition to Nguyen Duc Vinh, the remaining 11 subjects arrested by the police include: Trinh Anh Tuan (born in 1984), residing in Da Huoai district, Lam Dong province; Phan Vinh San (born in 1996), residing in Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province; Truong Gia Huy (born in 1993), residing in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Binh Duong (born in 1986), residing in Tam Binh district, Vinh Long province; Pham Van Hieu (born in 1986), residing in Than Uyen district, Lai Chau province; Phan Thanh Tien (born in 1988), residing in Nam Can district, Ca Mau province; Ly Chi Quan (born in 1991), residing in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh city; Do Xuan Khai (born in 1996), residing in Mdrak district, Dak Lak province; Nguyen Manh Cuong, residing in Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong city; Nguyen Phuc Nghia (born 2002), residing in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City and Nguyen Thi Huong Quynh, residing in Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City.

The evidence seized by the case included: 7 desktop computers, 4 laptops, 20 mobile phones, through which millions of obscene photos, stories, many obscene video files, and sexual relations on the forum "Thien Dia". During the investigation, it was determined that the amount of money the subjects illegally profited was more than 3 billion VND.

At the police station, the suspects all confessed to their crimes, consistent with the documents and evidence collected. Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police is temporarily detaining 10 suspects to investigate the act of "Disseminating obscene cultural products" and expanding the investigation. In particular, the two suspects Nguyen Duc Vinh and Trinh Anh Tuan both have many serious illnesses and have difficulty moving, so preventive measures have been applied, prohibiting them from leaving their place of residence.
