Summoned 3 women who spread rumors about 'patient 21'
The Cyber Security Department and Hanoi Police summoned three women for allegedly posting false information about "patient 21" having "a mistress, illegitimate children, and making dishonest statements."

Three women living in Hanoi, including Vo Thi Thanh Thuy (34 years old, Bac Tu Liem district), Doan Thi Kim Phuong (62 years old, Hoan Kiem district) and Nguyen Thi Van (26 years old, Dong Anh district).
On March 13, the Ministry of Public Security said that the three women claimed that due to lack of knowledge, they used their personal Facebook accounts to post and share "speculative and false information" that affected the honor and reputation of "patient 21". The three women admitted to violating the law, removed the posts, and pledged not to repeat the offense.
The three cases above are among many people identified by authorities as having posted and shared false information about "patient 21". Authorities are continuing to verify and handle the case.
"Patient number 21", 61 years old, was confirmed to be infected with Covid-19 on March 8. He returned from England to Noi Bai airport on March 2.

According to Article 64 of Decree 174/2013/ND-CP, anyone who "provides false information, slanders, distorts, or insults the reputation of an agency or organization or the honor and dignity of an individual" can be fined from 20 to 30 million VND.
Article 592 of the 2015 Civil Code also stipulates that anyone who intentionally or unintentionally infringes upon the honor or reputation of an individual, legal entity or other entity and causes damage must compensate... Depending on the nature, the person spreading the rumor may be prosecuted for the crime of defamation.Slanderaccording to article 122 of the Penal Code.
