On March 12, information from Hung Nguyen District Police (Nghe An) said that the unit had just summoned Mr. NHH, residing in Ha Khe hamlet, Hung Tay commune to clarify the posting of false information about the Covid-19 epidemic that caused panic among the people.
Previously, on March 8, 2020, Mr. H posted information with the content: "Hung Tay has had someone infected with Corona virus, please pay attention to prevent and remember to wear a medical mask when going out."

After the Facebook post, Hung Nguyen District Police verified and clarified that the Facebook owner was Mr. NHH, residing in Ha Khe hamlet, Hung Tay commune. Immediately after that, Hung Nguyen District Police summoned Mr. H. to work.
At the police station, H. admitted that the information posted online was fabricated and untrue; he then removed the post and wrote an apology. At the same time, he pledged not to post, share, or comment on articles with false content that could affect public order and security, causing panic and insecurity.
Currently, Hung Nguyen District Police are completing the dossier to handle the above case according to the provisions of law.
In the face of the complicated developments of the epidemic, Hung Nguyen District Police also recommended that people should update information related to Covid-19 epidemic prevention through official media and implement disease prevention measures according to instructions. At the same time, Hung Nguyen District Police requested that each person not share unverified and unauthentic information that affects the epidemic prevention work.
