After the ship was successfully salvaged, the Dien Bich commune government mobilized three large-capacity ships to the scene to tow the ship to Ngoc Minh hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune to monitor the situation and repair it.

Last night, people installed buoys around the ship and hired workers to patch up the cracks to prevent water from flooding back.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lien - Vice Chairman of Dien Bich Commune People's Committee said: Although the ship was successfully rescued, the damage was quite severe, because this is a large capacity ship, so the cost of building and repairing the ship is not cheap.

Mr. Tran Van Duyen, owner of a ship repair workshop in Ngoc Minh hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune, where the ship is being repaired, said: Parts of the ship such as the shaft, propeller, filler, wings... are all damaged, especially the lower part of the ship's hull is very badly damaged. If we mobilize our brothers to work hard, it will take another month for the ship to be able to set sail again.

Previously, at 2:00 a.m. on February 22, the fishing boat of Mr. Vu Van Tien and Mr. Pham Van Tung in Chien Thang hamlet, Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau district sank at Lach Van port. At that time, there were 5 fishermen on board, all of whom were rescued in time by a neighboring ship.

The ship has a capacity of 400 CV, the total installation cost is 1.8 billion VND. According to the ship owner, the repair cost could be up to hundreds of millions of VND, a huge loss, especially in the current difficult sea conditions.
