Trump criticizes Obama administration's response to cyber attacks
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, US President-elect Donald Trump raised a series of questions about Russia's interference in the cyber attack that leaked emails of the US Democratic Party as well as the White House's ability to respond under President Barack Obama.

"If Russia, or some other entity, did the hacking, why was the White House slow to act? Why did they only complain after Hillary's emails were stolen?" Trump wrote in a post on Twitter.
Earlier, in October, the US government officially accused Russia of conducting a cyber attack campaign to interfere in the US presidential election. Mr. Obama had warned Russian President Vladimir Putin about the consequences of this action and asked the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to review it.
On December 14, NBC News reported that US intelligence officials believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin personally participated in a cyberattack campaign to "disrupt" the recent US election. The CIA assessed that this attack helped Mr. Trump win the election.
The FBI and some US government agencies do not fully support the CIA's position. However, many officials have acknowledged that the Russian cyberattacks were intended to damage Mrs. Clinton's reputation by leaking emails that would embarrass the Democratic Party.
The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee is scheduled to hold a closed meeting and a hearing on this issue in early January 2017./.
