China Central Television (CCTV) reported that people living in the China-North Korea border area "clearly felt the ground shaking after the above-mentioned H-bomb (also known as hydrogen bomb or hydrogen bomb) test."
The areas most clearly felt were the cities of Yanji, Hunchun and Changbai, which are very close to the site where North Korea conducted its H-bomb test.
Residents in Yanji said they saw tables and chairs shaking for several seconds and many companies here had to evacuate employees from their offices.
Despite being North Korea's closest ally and a frequent aid provider to China, Beijing has grown increasingly frustrated with North Korea's pursuit of its nuclear program and has repeatedly called for restraint.
Previously, in December, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un announced that Pyongyang had developed an H-bomb.
However, this statement by Mr. Kim Jong-un has met with skepticism from international experts. These experts also do not believe that North Korea successfully conducted an H-bomb test on January 6.
