The Central Committee has not yet considered 'special' cases of re-election and candidacy.

On the morning of October 14, the Central Propaganda Department held a conference for October reporters and trained in propaganda work for Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 13th National Congress of the Party.

Regarding the results of the 13th Central Conference that just took place, Mr. Le Quang Vinh - Permanent Assistant to the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong said that the Central Executive Committee has approved the direction of personnel work for the 13th term. Accordingly, the personnel work is done very closely, methodically, scientifically, inheriting the direction of personnel work of previous terms.

It clearly stipulates that the age for re-election as an official member of the Central Executive Committee by the time of the 13th Congress scheduled to take place in early 2021 is no more than 60 years old for members of the Central Executive Committee and no more than 65 years old for members of the Politburo and Secretariat.

"Special cases will be considered by the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee to decide and present to the Congress. The special thing here is that it is beyond the age limit, nothing else," said Mr. Vinh.

According to the Standing Assistant of the Secretariat, at the 13th Central Conference, the Central Executive Committee considered and gave opinions on the re-election of Party Central Committee members, including official, alternate and first-time participants.

The Central Executive Committee also voted to recommend the Central Inspection Commission's re-election and first-time members. However, this still depends on the Central Executive Committee's personnel.

“All of these issues are within the process that has been determined in the personnel work direction of the 13th Congress, there is nothing special. This time, the Central Executive Committee is only considering cases of re-election or first-time candidacy that are within the age range, meaning they meet the standards and conditions,” said Mr. Vinh.

“For special cases, over 60 for Central Executive Committee members and over 65 for Politburo members and Secretariat members; whether special cases can be re-elected or not, whether they can participate for the first time or not; or like some provincial Secretaries who have reached the age limit to participate for the first time, for example, according to regulations it is 55 but now 56 years old, they will not be considered this time, but the Central Executive Committee will consider it in the next conferences” – Mr. Le Quang Vinh said and informed that currently people are very interested in whether there are "special" cases or not and who they are, but "this is still ahead".

* Overage personnel not considered

On the number of personnel submitted to the Central Government, Mr. Le Quang Vinh announced, at the 13th Central Conference, according to the nominations of the Party Committees at all levels, 119 personnel were introduced for re-election, including both official and alternate. Among these, there are some comrades who are over age and are still introduced. But whether they are introduced or not, the Central Executive Committee has not yet considered these over age personnel.

In addition, 107 people were introduced for the first time to officially join the Central Committee and 44 people were introduced to join the Central Committee as alternate members. At the 13th Central Conference, the Central Committee voted to consider introducing personnel, the results of this vote will be announced at the 14th Central Conference.

The Central Executive Committee has assigned the Politburo and the Personnel Subcommittee, based on the Resolution of the Conference, to report the results of the introduction of personnel for the 13th Central Committee and the Central Committee's comments to continue to consider, carefully review, supplement and complete the personnel plan in accordance with the personnel work process. In addition to the direction, a process has been issued to report to the Central Committee for consideration, decision and approval at the next Central Conferences before submitting to the 13th National Party Congress./.
