Nghe An College of Culture and Arts celebrates its 50th anniversary
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 11, Nghe An College of Culture and Arts celebrated its 50th anniversary (1967-2017).
At the ceremony, delegates and generations of cadres, teachers, employees and generations of students reviewed together the half-century history of the school's construction and growth.

Over the past half century, Nghe An College of Culture and Arts has overcome many difficulties and challenges to successfully complete its tasks. During the years of fighting against the US, the school trained thousands of soldiers on the cultural front, becoming the core nucleus for the grassroots of communes, wards, agencies, enterprises, schools, etc.; contributing greatly to the common victory of the cause of national liberation and national reunification.
After peace was restored, the school continued to train human resources for Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces. Many artists working in the field of art, musicians in professional and non-professional troupes; management staff of cultural and information centers, local cultural and information offices, music and art teachers in some provinces and cities, most of them studied and trained under this school.

During the renovation period, the school has built a stable and scientific organizational system, a team of experienced staff in management and teaching, and increasingly improved professional qualifications (currently 80% of teachers have a master's degree or higher). The quality of training and nurturing artistic talents has increasingly met practical requirements; contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Nghe An.
Many cadres, lecturers and students of the school have been awarded noble titles by the Party and State: People's Artist, Meritorious Artist. Many students of the school have won high prizes in national and regional art competitions.
The school was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal, and for many consecutive years has been an excellent unit awarded emulation flags and certificates of merit by the Party and State, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Provincial People's Committee.

Congratulating and praising the contributions of generations of cadres, teachers, employees and students of the school, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its establishment, comrade Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: In the new period, the role of educating students to preserve cultural identity is very important and needs to be widely spread. Therefore, the school needs to gradually improve the quality and expand training programs according to social needs; continue to innovate program content, apply IT to teaching and learning.
Building and improving the quality of the teaching staff and school management staff, in the direction of standardization with good qualities, professional capacity, organizational and management capacity and high sense of responsibility; meeting the needs of the training career in the trend of competition and integration.
The school needs to closely coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and sectors to promote Nghe An culture; especially research, transmission and promotion of Nghe Tinh Vi Dam folk songs and other unique cultural and artistic forms of Nghe An.

On this occasion, Nghe An College of Culture and Arts was honored to receive the banner of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee for its achievements in completing excellently and comprehensively the task of leading the patriotic emulation movement of Nghe An province, school year 2016 - 2017.
Mr. Vu Tien Vinh - Vice Principal of the School was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President for his outstanding achievements in education and training from 2011 - 2012 to 2015 - 2016.
Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Mau Canh - Principal of the School was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the emulation flag to Nghe An College of Culture and Arts for its outstanding achievements in training in 2017 and awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 3 individuals of the school for their achievements in training, contributing to the construction and development of the school in the period 2012 - 2017.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also awarded the emulation flag to the Trade Union of Nghe An College of Culture and Arts.
