(Baonghean) - Innovating training programs and linking training with practical needs is one of the important solutions in the development strategy of Nghe An University of Economics. Currently, the Faculty of Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries, Nghe An University of Economics attracts many students to study with 4 university training majors: Land Management, Veterinary Medicine, Forestry and Plant Science. In addition, the faculty also trains college and intermediate levels with equivalent professions. Currently, the annual training scale is stable with over 500 full-time students and 100 part-time students.

In recent times, the Faculty of Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries has regularly consulted with the school to strengthen the construction of facilities and other conditions to best serve teaching and learning, and research on scientific and technological topics. In addition, it has focused on human resources and intelligence for departments in the faculty to organize scientific conferences, academic activities, and professional conferences each school year, in order to solve professional issues, meet current teaching and learning requirements, as well as requirements on labor quality after graduation...
In particular, with the advantage of training in agriculture - forestry - fishery, in recent years, the faculty has actively cooperated with companies and enterprises to cooperate in training human resources; at the same time, looking for reliable addresses to introduce jobs for students after graduation. Accordingly, signed with Thai Duong Animal Feed Joint Stock Company, Duc Hanh Marphavet Veterinary Medicine Corporation with the following agreement contents: Inviting representatives of companies to teach some topics for students; participating in building college and university programs in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. On the school's side, it will provide human resources specializing in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine for companies and together with the companies, solve jobs for students after graduation...
In addition, the faculty has also cooperated with HOPE Special Zone Company under the Tay Hoa Hy Vong Group - a transnational corporation specializing in animal feed production, breeding, training in animal husbandry techniques, food processing from livestock farms and supermarket business - to provide human resources specializing in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine for the company. At the end of May 2016, the Faculty of Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries and GreenFeed Vietnam Joint Stock Company successfully organized the "Career Orientation Day for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine" for students about to graduate.

After the interview, the representative of GreenFeed Company highly appreciated the expertise of the students and committed to recruiting them after they completed their studies at the school. Mr. Truong Quang Ngan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries, said: "In the past, many students studying animal husbandry, veterinary medicine and other agricultural and forestry majors when they first graduated often had to choose a "side job". However, these are now majors with advantages in recruitment, high salaries and many opportunities for training and skill improvement. In the future, this is still a developing group of majors because according to the analysis of labor demand, by 2020, the human resources in the Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries sector will lack about 3.2 million trained workers".
To overcome the limitations of students after graduation due to lack of practical knowledge, the Faculty of Business Administration constantly innovates training. In particular, instead of extending the theoretical program, the faculty increases the internship time at enterprises. In addition, to create conditions for students during the learning process, the faculty has linked up with enterprises, especially reputable enterprises. At the same time, connecting with enterprises in recruiting and training students according to their needs. Every year, the faculty also organizes extracurricular activities such as seminars, knowledge competitions to help students improve basic skills such as presentation skills, negotiation, and decision making. In addition to the main professional training, students are also trained in specialized English skills to increase their job opportunities after graduation. Dr. Nguyen Cong Nhat - Head of the Faculty of Business Administration said: After a period of program innovation, internship innovation, the quality of graduation internships of students at companies and enterprises has been significantly improved. Thereby, not only creating trust for units accepting students for internship but also increasing the ability of graduates to find jobs.
