On the morning of July 22, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense continued to issue an urgent notice on the release of water from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir.

Urgent Notice No. 120 stated: At 04:11, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 07 dated July 22 from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation regarding the discharge of water from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Nam Mo hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to discharge water from Nam Mo hydropower reservoir as follows:

Estimated time of water discharge through spillway:08:00, July 22, 2025.

Discharge flow:Total discharge volume is expected to be approximately 140 - 500 m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates, generator sets and sand discharge sluices) and may vary depending on the inflow to the lake.

Estimated time to end water discharge through spillway:Until the water flow to the lake drops below 140 m3/S.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: People's Committees of Muong Xen, Huu Kiem, Chieu Luu communes and Heads of provincial Departments, branches and sectors to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the area downstream of Nam Mo Hydropower Plant to know and carry out necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and the People.
