(Baonghean.vn) - Returning to their hometowns after the historic "epidemic escape", thousands of workers across the province are facing the risk of unemployment. Therefore, from this moment on, local authorities have also urgently contacted and consulted with workers to introduce jobs.

Job search pressure

Mr. Lau Ba Lau, residing in Tham Pang village, Muong Long commune, Ky Son district, returned from Binh Phuoc and still has not recovered. Coming to Binh Phuoc with his friends nearly 2 years ago, Mr. Lau got a job at an electronic equipment assembly factory. WhenoutbreakAt first, he and many people in the commune tried to stay, but because he could not go to work, and the risk of getting sick in the boarding house was very high, he finally decided to ride a motorbike with his friends back to his hometown.

Mr. Lau shared, “I know that going back to my hometown will make me feel more secure, but there is no work, and I can’t do anything in the fields this season. When the epidemic situation stabilizes, I will go find a job after Tet. I still hope to find a job in my hometown rather than going far away, but if there is no work, I have no choice but to go.”

Mr. Va Ba Ky, who lives in Muong Long 2 village, Muong Long commune, has just returned from Binh Duong and affirmed - "will go back to the market, what will I do to eat if I stay at home?" However, Mr. Ky is wondering whether to work in the province or work in the South or the North, and said that after Tet, he will go to work wherever his friends and relatives are working.

According to the synthesis, in Muong Long commune, from the beginning of the year to mid-October 2021, the whole commune had about 500 citizens from the southern provinces returning to their hometowns. Most of them were poor and near-poor households, having to return to their hometowns by motorbike. Mr. Va Cha Xa - Chairman of the People's Committee of Muong Long commune said: Through understanding the aspirations of the people, basically people are too afraid of the epidemic so they have to return, moreover, this time is near Tet so people do not want to travel. If the epidemic situation stabilizes after Tet, they will also go find work.

It is known that at the end of October, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the People's Committee of Ky Son district to organizejob referral consultingfor workers in 21 communes and towns of Ky Son district, divided into groups in communes such as Ta Ca, Na Ngoi, Chieu Luu, Huoi Tu, Muong Long and Na Loi.

Mr. Le Hong Lap - Head of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ky Son district said: From April 27 to October 12, the whole Ky Son district had 5,652 citizens returning from the southern provinces, mainly children of Thai, Mong and Kho Mu ethnic groups. Currently, because the southern provinces have loosened control measures, people are no longer returning en masse as before, however, it is expected that from now until the Lunar New Year of Nham Dan, the number of people returning will reach about 7,000 people.

According to Mr. Lap, due to the large number of people returning home, causing considerable pressure on job creation, from October 26 to 31, the district coordinated with the Provincial Employment Service Center to organize 6 job transaction clusters for local people. However, due to fear of the epidemic and having just gone through a long trip, people still have no intention of going to work. Although some garment and electronics assembly enterprises from the northern provinces have come to consult, very few people have registered to go immediately.

In Que Phong district, more than 3,000 workers have recently returned from the northern and southern provinces. According to Mr. Lo Minh Diep - Head of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Que Phong district, the district is currently reviewing to grasp the situation of workers who want to return to work. In the near future, the district will coordinate with the Provincial Employment Service Center to organize counseling, career guidance and job introduction sessions for workers in general and workers who have just returned to their hometowns after the recent waves.

Actively connect and find jobs

In Tuong Duong district, up to now, more than 3,700 workers have returned to their hometowns to avoid the epidemic. Immediately after the workers return to their hometowns, in addition to keeping a list and conducting quarantine according to regulations, localities in the district also synthesize and grasp the aspirations of the workers. Recently, this locality also organized a job consultation session for workers in the district in 6 commune clusters. Through this job consultation session, more than 2,000 interested workers attended, of which 200 workers registered to work immediately.

Mr. Tran Van Toan - Head of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Tuong Duong district shared: Although we know that workers are in a state of fear after a historic "epidemic escape", we do not sit still. Organizing immediate consultation for workers, in addition to understanding their thoughts and aspirations, can also help local workers find better job opportunities than waiting until after Tet.

Thanks to the timely job counseling for workers after returning to their hometowns to avoid the epidemic, in just a short time, 200 workers in Tuong Duong district were hired by a garment company in Hai Duong with a fixed salary of 9 million VND/month. In addition, the workers were also welcomed by the company to work and then brought back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet.

This shows that the demand for labor recruitment of enterprises in and outside the province is also very large, the important thing is that local authorities need to quickly intervene to connect and introduce to help enterprises and workers access each other. Avoid the situation when other provinces also participate, many stable job positions have been registered.
