On October 23, 1961, at the most difficult, arduous and fierce time of the resistance war against the US to save the country, the Politburo and the Central Military Commission decided to establish Military Transport Group 759, marking an important historical milestone, opening a new development step of the strategic transport route - the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea. On the unnumbered ships, many commanders and soldiers handled the situation skillfully and intelligently, controlling the ship to maintain the journey to the South, flexibly dealing with the situations that arose. Many of them did not return, but merged with the blue sea, returning to the motherland.
