Commending 22 typical young people following Uncle Ho's teachings

With the theme: "Nghia Dan Youth is creative and volunteers for community life", the 2018 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign has carried out many meaningful activities, contributing to the economic, cultural, social development, security and defense in the locality.

During the summer campaign, the youth union members of Nghia Dan district carried out district-level youth projects in hamlet 16, Nghia Trung commune. Nearly 3,000 youth union members participated in pouring more than 3 km of concrete roads; repairing village and hamlet cultural houses, and 15 stadiums. Launched "Green Sunday" to clean up and decorate martyrs' cemeteries, and planted 570 trees. Organized a candle-lighting ceremony to pay tribute and visit, and gave gifts on War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27).

In the exam support program, 5 teams with 87 volunteers were established to advise and guide 938 candidates to exam locations; introduce 270 accommodations, 5 cheap restaurants, 36 free accommodations for candidates with especially difficult circumstances; provide 137 free shuttle buses, support the distribution of 1,042 free bottles of water... Responding to the blood donation festival in 2018, 1,650 volunteers participated, collecting 1,125 units of blood. Organized 20 swimming classes, installed 300 drowning warning signs.

At the conference, the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district, the District Youth Union Executive Committee, and the District Youth Union commended collectives with outstanding achievements in the 2018 Summer Youth Campaign and honored 22 typical youths following Uncle Ho's teachings in 2018./.
