Honoring 24 typical ethnic minority youths of Nghe An province in 2020
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of August 2, in Kim Son town, Que Phong district, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Youth Union of Nghe An province organized a meeting and commendation program for 24 typical ethnic minority youths of Nghe An province in 2020.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, leaders of Que Phong district and a large number of union members and youth in mountainous districts and towns of Nghe An province.
Nghe An is a province with a large ethnic minority population, including more than 40,000 ethnic youth, living mainly in mountainous areas.
In recent years, together with the youth of the whole province, the union members and ethnic minority youth in mountainous, remote and isolated areas have strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, affirming the position and role of youth in all fields, especially economic development; protecting national defense and security; contributing to changing the face of villages and homeland.
Since then, more and more typical examples of ethnic minority youth in the province have appeared in all fields. Typically, 24 examples were honored at the ceremony, demonstrating the timely recognition and encouragement of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Chu Duc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union highly appreciated the union members and ethnic minority youth who have made efforts to gradually overcome difficulties and challenges to affirm their position and role as pioneers and volunteers of the youth; at the same time, he hoped that the union members in general and ethnic minority youth in particular will continue to contribute more to the development of their homeland and country in the coming time.

At the ceremony, the Youth Union of the Office of the President presented 150 boxes of instant noodles to the people of Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district.
Also at the ceremony, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Provincial Youth Union Secretariat and accompanying units presented gifts and projects to the people and youth of Hanh Dich commune (Que Phong), including: 1 youth tree line project, 1 volleyball court project, and 1 project to light up the village road using solar energy.
