MU unexpectedly targets Depay to replace Ronaldo. |
The Dutch star spent a year and a half playing for the Red Devils but was unsuccessful, scoring only 7 goals in 53 appearances for the Manchester team.
Depay then moved to Lyon and played explosively. In the summer of 2021, he was brought back by Barca on a free transfer with the aim of replacing Lionel Messi to lead the team's attack.
Despite scoring 12 goals in 28 La Liga games last season, Depay has struggled to find a starting spot, especially in the second half of the 2021/22 season when Barca brought in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. With Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha both arriving this summer, Depay's chances of playing have dwindled.
Recent reports indicate that Depay wants to leave. Although he is sad to have only played for Barca for 1 year, he does not want to be on the bench with the 2022 World Cup approaching.
In addition to Man United, the 28-year-old striker has also attracted interest from Tottenham. Coach Antonio Conte admires his versatility as the player can play in many positions in attack.

The reason why Ho Chi Minh City Club keeps coach Minh Chien
Mr. Tran Minh Chien will continue the unfinished work of helping Ho Chi Minh City Club stay in V.League 2022 after the team lost 3 consecutive matches.
Confirming with Zing about continuing to lead Ho Chi Minh City Club, Mr. Tran Minh Chien said: "The team's leaders encouraged me a lot to revive the team. Ho Chi Minh City Club is a big brand, much bigger than my name. I was afraid that I would affect the team, so I chose the best option."
Previously, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Club were very surprised when the head coach resigned. "We talked and promised to continue to improve the situation together. This season, Ho Chi Minh City Club only aims to stay in the league. There is still plenty of time for the team to overcome the difficult period," the club leader emphasized.

Difficulties for coach Minh Chien were predicted since he accepted the team in September 2021. Ho Chi Minh City Club tightened its purse strings, shifted its investment direction, and set a simple goal with a domestic coach. Before that, they bought stars, hired foreign coaches, and spent heavily on players.
Ho Chi Minh City Club's 1-2 loss to Hong Linh Ha Tinh was the third defeat for coach Tran Minh Chien in his first season working here. The team showed signs of a personnel crisis due to injuries and penalty cards, so the results and performance were no longer under the control of the whole team.
Ho Chi Minh City Club has only 6 points after 7 rounds and is in the bottom three with Nam Dinh and Saigon. In the next match, they have to play away at Viettel Club on July 24. This is the "Tourmalet" period (fierce schedule) with 4 matches/day.
Coach Minh Chien's biggest concern right now is injuries. He hopes that no more players will be out of action. In addition, the players who are recovering can return in time.
