Nghe An Provincial People's Committee resolves business problems

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 30, Mr. Hoang Viet Duong, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with business associations and entrepreneurs. Attending the meeting were representatives of departments, branches and business associations in the province.

At the meeting, business associations and entrepreneurs summarized the specific difficulties and problems of businesses that need to be resolved. The contents focused on the following issues: High land rental prices at Nghi Phu Small Industrial Park need to be adjusted to ensure fairness and benefits for businesses; Issuance of land use right certificates; Issuance of mining licenses; Thanh Chuong Sand Mining and Transport Joint Stock Company proposed that the procedures for granting mines to businesses have not been implemented, leading to the procedures for granting wharfs and yards have not been implemented.

Xuan Hoa Brick and Tile Joint Stock Company is exempted from paying land rent for 6 years from the date of signing the land lease contract according to the Investment Certificate of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee dated March 5, 2004. While not yet receiving investment incentives according to the province's policy, the Tax sector recently relied on the Law on Compulsory Tax to collect land rent and fines for late payment and administrative violations, causing difficulties for businesses. The Veterans Business Association and Xuan Hoa Company requested the Provincial People's Committee and related sectors, especially the tax sector, to hold a meeting to resolve this problem for businesses. The Small and Medium Enterprises Association requested the tax sector to promptly provide information on new tax policies for businesses...

At the meeting, the representative of Nghe An Tax Department answered some of the enterprises' concerns about the information reflecting the spirit and attitude of some tax officers causing trouble for enterprises; Regarding the issue of Xuan Hoa Company, the Tax Department answered in the previous meeting, affirming that the handling of Nghe An Tax Department is in accordance with the Law. The tax department acknowledged the feedback of the enterprise, the tax department will work directly with Xuan Hoa Company to thoroughly resolve the enterprise's concerns.

In addition, the leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment answered three questions from businesses regarding land lease for investment projects and residential land area.

Mr. Trinh Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of Nghe An Tax Department, answered questions from businesses related to tax collection and refund.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Duong requested the departments and branches to receive the recommendations of the enterprises and agree to summarize them by April 15 to report to the Provincial People's Committee. Regarding the problems, the relevant departments are requested to resolve them completely. Regarding the issue of small-scale exports, the Department of Industry and Trade will report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for consideration. Regarding the issue of anchoring ships in the Cua Lo Port area, the Provincial People's Committee will issue a document assigning the departments and branches to resolve.
