Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held a press conference in Hanoi to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Truong Bon victory.
On the morning of October 26, at the headquarters of Nhan Dan Newspaper, 71 Hang Trong (Hanoi), Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated with Nghe An province to hold a press conference to provide information on activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of Truong Bon victory (October 31, 1968 - October 31, 2018).
The press conference also introduced the special art program “Truong Bon – Legendary Land”. This is the third year Nghe An province has coordinated with Nhan Dan Newspaper to organize this program.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Truong Bon victory, Nghe An province, Nhan Dan Newspaper and Vietnam Television jointly organized a special art program "Truong Bon - Legendary Land", taking place at 20:10, November 1, 2018, at Truong Bon historical relic site, My Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province and broadcast live on VTV1 Vietnam Television, Nhan Dan Television, Nghe An Radio and Television, and rebroadcast on a number of local television stations nationwide.
The program is directed by Nhan Dan Newspaper, Nghe An Province, directed by People's Artist Tran Binh; Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater, Nghe An Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe, and many famous male and female artists from all over the country. The content includes: 30-minute ceremony and 60-minute art program, consisting of four chapters: Chapter I: Beloved Homeland; Chapter II: Truong Bon - Fire and Flower Road; Chapter III: Memorial Song and Chapter IV: New Nghe An.

Speaking at the press conference, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy said that this year's activities have many innovations, such as: Implementing a campaign to compose songs about Truong Bon. The Organizing Committee has begun accepting entries from October 9, 2018 to July 30, 2019 and will organize a summary and award ceremony in conjunction with the 51st anniversary of Truong Bon victory.
In addition, there are activities: The 50th death anniversary of 13 youth volunteer martyrs (TNXP), belonging to Company 317; organizing visits and giving gifts to witnesses, families of TNXP martyrs; youth camp and displaying products of TNXP, youth union members participating in economic and social development; implementing the project "Youth tree garden"; Workshop: Truong Bon - Historical value, preservation and promotion... to demonstrate the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", showing gratitude to heroes, martyrs and those who have contributed to the revolution; contributing to strengthening the education of revolutionary traditions and the responsibility of generations, especially the young generation towards the homeland and country.
The great significance of the Truong Bon victory in the resistance war against the US to save the country is the dedication and sacrifice of the forces and people, especially the heroic example of 13 Youth Volunteers of the Steel Squad, the Suicide Squad of Company 317, Team 65, the Youth Volunteers General Team against the US, saving the country of Nghe An province, who heroically sacrificed while on duty and have gone down in national history as an immortal heroic epic.
Comrade Que Dinh Nguyen, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, shared that on Nhan Dan Newspaper's side, at the program, 25 savings books (each worth 20 million VND) will be presented to relatives of 13 heroic martyrs of Truong Bon Youth Volunteers, historical witness Tran Thi Thong, former two Deputy Company Commanders of the heroic Youth Volunteers Company 317 and nine representatives of families of Youth Volunteers who fought in Truong Bon; gifts will be presented to support the Truong Bon Historical Relic Site Management Board and the Nghe An Education Promotion Fund. At the same time, the program will call for donations, support and assistance to policy beneficiaries, relatives of war invalids and martyrs in difficult circumstances, currently living in Nghe An province.
