Candidates for the 15th National Assembly elected in constituency number 5 include 4 gentlemen and ladies:

Nguyen Van Chi - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Le Duc Sy - Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Organization and Inspection Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh - Deputy Head of the Department of Child Protection, Care and Gender Equality, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An.

Candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council in constituency No. 7 include 5 men and women:

Le Duc Cuong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Nguyen Trong Huyen - Chief of Office of Dien Chau District Party Committee; Ha Xuan Quang - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Dien Chau District People's Council; Chu Duc Thai - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; Nguyen Thu Thao - Specialist of the School Youth Union of the Provincial Youth Union.

At the conference, voters heard brief biographies of four candidates for the 15th National Assembly and five candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council.

In their positions, the candidates reported their action programs if elected as National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies. Accordingly, the action programs of the candidates all focused on emphasizing issues related to building new rural areas, education, transportation, and economic development of local people in the province in general and Dien Chau in particular.

At the same time, strengthen solutions to implement the quality and effectiveness of Party building and government building work, effectively deploy livelihood models for poor and near-poor households so that no one is left behind.

To effectively implement those action programs, the candidates stated that they will constantly strive, practice, and improve their capacity to better fulfill their assigned tasks. At the same time, they will regularly and closely contact voters, receive their wishes, and share information with voters. Thereby, honestly reflecting voters' opinions and recommendations to the National Assembly, the Provincial People's Council, and relevant agencies to recommend to the competent agencies to resolve voters' legitimate aspirations.

The conference is also an opportunity for voters to meet with candidates, understand them better, and evaluate the actual capacity and qualifications of each candidate. On that basis, consider, select, and elect those who meet the qualifications to be National Assembly and People's Council deputies of Nghe An province.

After listening to the action programs of 4 candidates for the 15th National Assembly and 5 candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council, voters highly appreciated the action programs of the candidates and hoped that the elected representatives would truly represent the voice and interests of the people, and pay attention to solving important and urgent local issues.

In particular, voters also made recommendations and proposals to candidates on a number of issues directly related to the lives of Dien Chau people such as: Finding solutions to dredging and renovating Lach Van estuary to meet the needs of people's boats and ships; supporting people in going offshore and exploiting seafood in coastal communes; finding stable outlets for agricultural products. At the same time, focusing on waste treatment and environmental pollution; improving the lives of policy beneficiaries and village and hamlet officials after the merger; developing the rural economy through collective economic models, cooperatives, and cooperative groups.

Constituency No. 7 of the Provincial People's Council includes 19 communes and 1 town in Dien Chau district, including: Dien Bich, Dien Ngoc, Dien Kim, Dien Van, Dien Quang, Dien Hoa, Dien Hanh, Dien Cat, Dien Dong, Dien Lien, Dien Xuan, Dien Thap, Dien Ky, Dien Phu, Dien Tho, Dien Loc, Dien Loi, Dien Thanh, Dien Phuc, Dien Chau town.
