The National Assembly Standing Committee begins its 13th session.

During 2 days (July 11 and 12), the 13th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee took place at the National Assembly House. Notably, at this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave its opinions on the report on the survey results of the construction progress of the Truong Son Dong route and gave its initial opinions on the preparation for the 4th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Regarding the work of law-making, at this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered and approved the draft Resolution on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Delegation Work Committee.

Regarding socio-economic issues, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered and decided on the policy of changing the purpose of using forests, forest land and rice land from 2 crops or more of the North-South Expressway Construction Project in the East for the 2021-2025 period; and gave opinions on the report on the survey results of the construction progress of the Eastern Truong Son route.

Regarding supervision work, the National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed the National Assembly's report on people's petition work in May and June this year; reviewed the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the supervision of legal documents of the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly's Committees.

Also at this meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee summarized the 3rd Session and gave initial opinions on preparations for the 4th Session of the 15th National Assembly./.
