Transporting 6 cakes of drugs, paid 43 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - The transporter hired a Laotian to transport 6 cakes of drugs to Nghe An for sale with a transportation fee of about 43 million VND.
After 2 months of investigation and monitoring, at 5:00 a.m. on January 25, at km 38 of National Highway 7A, Ang village, Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, Na Ngoi Border Guard Station in coordination with the Drug and Crime Prevention Department, Nam Can Border Guard Station and the Drug Crime Prevention Control Team of Nghe An Customs Department successfully broke the 366L case, arresting a subject who was illegally transporting drugs.

The arrested subject is Lau Ba Tong (born in 1986), hometown in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, illegally crossed the border to Laos in 2014, currently residing in Kha Ma village, Vieng Thoong district, Bolikhamsay province, Laos.
Evidence collected at the scene included 6 heroin cakes, 1 sharp knife, 1 telephone for communication and many other related evidence.
According to the initial statement, the subject Tong hired a Laotian to transport the above amount of drugs to Nghe An for consumption with a transportation fee of 16 million Lao kip, equivalent to 43 million Vietnamese Dong.
Currently, the Border Guard is completing the documents for processing according to the provisions of law.
