A wooden board flew into the face, seriously injuring a worker in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - While working at a sawmill, due to carelessness, a piece of wood jumped up, seriously injuring Phan Thai Than (30 years old), from Thanh Xuan commune, Thanh Chuong district, and losing an eye.

At around 6:30 p.m. on December 6, while working overtime at a sawmill in Trang Bom district, Dong Nai province, Phan Thai Than was hit in the face by a piece of wood that bounced up, causing serious injury. He was unconscious on the spot and bleeding profusely.
At that moment, he was taken to Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City by his colleagues and bystanders. After surgery, the doctor informed him that his left eye was permanently damaged, his upper lip was torn, he needed 10 stitches, and an upper molar was broken.

By the morning of December 8, Mr. Than had passed the critical stage and was awake, but his health was weak and he could not speak yet.
It is known that Mr. Than was newly married and had no children. He had been working as a factory worker in the South for 2 months when the accident happened. Because he worked at a private facility and had no insurance, he had to pay high hospital bills, while his family's living conditions in the countryside were quite difficult.
