Vietnam trains with 7 players; 4 races are not over in Premier League 2021/22

On the morning of May 20, the members of the Vietnamese team left Phu Tho for Hanoi to prepare for the final match against Thailand. During the afternoon training session on the training ground of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), only seven players took to the field, working with fitness assistant Park Sung-gyun. These people included Nguyen Trong Long, Dung Quang Nho, Luong Duy Cuong, Nguyen Hai Long, Ho Thanh Minh, along with two goalkeepers Trinh Van Hoang and Quan Van Chuan.

Due to a serious injury in the semi-finals, Le Van Xuan had to leave the hotel on crutches today. This full-back will not be able to play in the final match against Thailand tomorrow, May 22. According to the tournament regulations, teams can only replace players in case of Covid-19 infection, so head coach Park cannot add players. Phan Tuan Tai or Huynh Cong Den will be the replacement options.

This afternoon, May 21, Vietnam will practice in private at the VFF training ground to prepare for the final match with Thailand.

Indonesian fans attack Thai player's personal page

Indonesian fans were furious after the U23 team was eliminated by Thailand in extra time in the semi-finals of the 31st SEA Games.
