This morning (November 28), many parents whose children are studying at Mam Xanh kindergarten in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City brought their children to District 12 Hospital for health check-ups.
Arriving at District 12 Hospital very early, Ms. Le Thi Xinh said she had to take time off work to take her child to the doctor because she felt uneasy. She has sent her nearly 4-year-old son to Mam Xanh Kindergarten for over a year now. Many times, Ms. Xinh discovered that her child showed signs of fear and had bruises, but when she went to ask, the owner of the facility, Ms. Linh, always found a convincing reason.

When she witnessed her son being beaten with a sandal by the nanny in a clip posted online, Ms. Xinh was extremely hurt. She said she would soon quit her job to stay home and take care of her son because she was too scared to trust any private facility anymore.
Ms. Le Thi Xinh worriedly said: “I don’t know what to say, I just hope the police will handle this case seriously so that other cases of child abuse will not occur. Now I don’t dare send my children to school. After watching these clips, I feel so scared.”
As of this morning, half of the children studying at Mam Xanh Kindergarten have been taken by their families to District 12 Hospital for general examination and to check for injuries if any.
This is the directive of the People's Committee of District 12 right after the incident of the nanny at Mam Xanh Kindergarten brutally abusing children was reported by the press. The children and their families gathered at the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Ward and a car took them to the hospital for examination. The car then returned the children and their families to the People's Committee of the Ward.
Not only does District 12 Hospital provide free medical examinations and tests for children, it also conducts in-depth research to provide timely advice to parents whose children have been abused.
Specialist Doctor 2 Nhan To Tai, Director of District 12 Hospital said: “Since yesterday, the hospital has arranged a separate room with a pediatrician to examine the children. Up to now, there have been 17 cases, of which 5 children had bruises on their arms and legs. Regarding psychological problems, no cases have been detected. During the examination, we had the children do all the tests and ultrasounds.”
For the remaining children, the locality will continue to encourage families to arrange their work to take the children to visit and complete necessary tests to promptly detect injuries and provide treatment if any. The People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Ward will also contact businesses where the parents of the abused children work to give them leave to facilitate the examination and provide information about the case.
Immediately after temporarily suspending the operation of the childcare facility that committed the abuse, the People's Committee of District 12 arranged a place for the children to study at the nearby Hoa Mi 2 Kindergarten./.
