Noble mission

It can be said that, right from its founding name, Trung Do Joint Stock Company has carried on its shoulders the noble mission of constructing and beautifying Vinh city. Therefore, after completing the construction of Vinh Power Plant, although most of the workers were soldiers who had not been trained in technical skills, but with the spirit of attacking and overcoming difficulties, only 5 years after its establishment, the Company has completed 24 key projects that have made an impression on the city, of which the most typical are Song Lam Sugar Factory, Vinh Water Plant, Automobile Overhaul Factory...

Next, during the resistance war against the US from 1965 to 1973, the Company constructed nearly 500 projects, including nearly 20 defense projects. At the same time, the Company also carried out the task of being ready to fight, fighting back against American aircraft by establishing 2 self-defense regiments, 3 air defense platoons and dozens of combat teams; hundreds of officers and workers of the Company joined the armed forces, many of whom achieved glorious achievements; among them, some heroically sacrificed for the independence, freedom and unification of the country.

After peace was restored, the Company's area of ​​operation spread throughout the old Zone 4. During this period, along with actively participating in the construction of many key industrial projects such as the expansion of Vinh Power Plant, Vinh Fiber Factory, Song Lam Paper Factory... The Company also participated in the construction of a series of civil works such as the Vietnam - Poland Friendship Hospital, Military Hospital 4, Huynh Thuc Khang School (Vinh City), the Southern Provisional Government Guest House in Quang Tri... At the same time, the Company also increased its staff and workers to construct a number of projects in the South such as Ha Tien Cement, Vung Tau Petroleum, Tri An Hydropower Plant, Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant...

Moving to the market economy mechanism, due to the Company's operating area being narrowed, the Company was no longer assigned to construct large projects, so difficulties began to appear, workers lacked jobs. Despite that, the Company still tried to stabilize and find jobs, ensuring the lives of 3,000 officers and workers. During this period, the Company continued to be selected to construct important and meaningful projects of the province such as Nghe An Provincial Central Post Office, Provincial Military Command, Soviet Museum, Ha Tinh 500KV Power Compensation Station.... To integrate with the regional economy and implement the policy of restructuring State-owned enterprises, in 1995 Trung Do Company joined Hanoi Construction Corporation to have the conditions to expand further, capable of constructing projects of national and international scale such as Tate & Lye Sugar Factory, Shell Cua Lo, Hoang Mai Cement... However, due to many changes in the construction and installation sector and fierce competition, the Company encountered many difficulties and production stagnated.

Faced with that situation, instead of continuing in the construction field, the Company shifted its strategy to research and production of construction materials. The first milestone was in 2001, when the Company organized the construction and installation of 2 production lines of Trung Do Granite Tile Factory in Bac Vinh Industrial Park, thereby opening a new direction for the Company's production and business.

Strong redirection

Since 2005, after completing the transformation into a joint stock company, with the accumulated experience in the construction field, at the 2006 Shareholders' Meeting, the Company decided to strongly shift to the production and trading of construction materials and real estate business. The Company only constructs and installs works and projects that it implements or is the investor of (real estate business projects). The project of the adjacent villa area and high-class apartment buildings in the Nam Nguyen Sy Sach Urban Area (Vinh City), the social housing project and the housing project in the Hanoi Diplomatic Corps Area... are typical projects and works of that direction.

After successfully researching and mastering the Granite tile production line, the Company continues to research technological innovation, diversifying product designs by applying digital printing technology; on the basis of the granite tile production technology line, the Company produces high-quality ceramic tiles... To improve production and business efficiency, create jobs and income for workers, along with continuing to invest in improving the technology line, improving production capacity, reducing input costs; the Company gradually invests in the production of commercial concrete...

Most recently, in response to the rapidly changing trend of construction materials production technology, especially the demand for input materials for brick production, the Company has invested nearly 200 billion VND to build a brick factory from hill soil in Thach Ha (Ha Tinh); at the same time, continued to invest over 1,000 billion VND to build a high-grade construction materials production complex in Nghi Van commune (Nghi Loc); is surveying and investing in the construction of a brick factory from hill soil in Khanh Son commune (Nam Dan)...

From the position of a specialized construction contractor, the Company has transformed itself into one of the leading enterprises in the production of construction materials in the region. Currently, each year, the Company produces millions of square meters of tiles, hundreds of millions of bricks, millions of high-quality ceramic tiles... It is worth mentioning that most of the new production lines invested by the Company are modern, automatic, in line with the trend of converting raw materials and technology of the State. The above projects not only affirm its new position in the market but also create momentum, preparing for the Company's new, higher position in the future...

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of its establishment, generations of officers and employees of Trung Do Joint Stock Company today look back together, thereby expressing gratitude to generations of officers and employees who have made great contributions, creating the foundation for the development of the Company; at the same time expressing gratitude for the care and support of the Party Committee and people of the provinces where the Company has been stationed and worked, thanking the companionship, support and loyalty of customers to the Company, regardless of favorable or difficult times, hardships.
