Nam Thuong Commune received the Certificate of recognition as a commune meeting NTM standards.

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 2, Nam Thuong commune (Nam Dan) solemnly held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition as a commune meeting new rural standards (NTM).

Collectives and individuals were commended by the Provincial People's Committee in building new rural areas.

As a mountainous commune, the "headland" of Nam Dan district, the terrain is mainly hills and rivers, so Nam Thuong faces many difficulties in production and economic development. Along with that, the starting point for building a new rural area is low, with only 7/19 criteria meeting the initial standards, but thanks to knowing how to seize opportunities and advantages, choosing the right direction and work at each time to implement, focusing on economic development, creating conditions to mobilize people's strength and taking advantage of programs, projects, support from all levels, sectors, businesses, and children far from home.

In 5 years of building the new rural area, Nam Thuong has mobilized a total capital of up to 72,517 million VND to build new rural infrastructure works. The rate of well-off and rich households increased rapidly, the rate of poor households decreased to only 3.7%; average income per capita reached 25 million VND/person/year. 5/5 hamlets achieved the title of culture. Up to now, Nam Thuong has achieved 19/19 new rural standard criteria.

The Provincial People's Committee awarded the commune that met the new rural standards 500 million VND.

Excited to receive the Certificate of recognition of the commune meeting the NTM standards, the Party Committee and people of Nam Thuong are determined to strive to continue to improve the criteria in the coming time, promote industrialization and modernization of rural agriculture, and improve people's lives.

At the ceremony, 4 groups and 4 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the new rural construction movement.
