Building a large model sugarcane field in Quy Hop

(Baonghean.vn) - The sugarcane growing area in Quy Hop district is currently 5,116 hectares, with a yield of 60.6 tons/hectare. The total output is 310,172 tons. Among them, there are many large model fields with high yields. The sugar factory has organized the purchase of all raw materials for the people.

In the 2015-2016 crushing season alone, Nghe An Sugar Factory coordinated with the communes of Van Loi, Chau Dinh, Tho Hop, Ha Son and Chau Ly to build 14 large-scale model fields with an area of ​​140 hectares, using new sugarcane varieties with high productivity and quality such as QD93-159, QD 94-119, Roc 16, Roc 10, VD 00236, Lam Vien 6, MY55-14.

In 2017, Quy Hop district built a plan to continue increasing the sugarcane area to 5,600 hectares of sugarcane. Communes and towns focused on investing in intensive mass cultivation, introducing new varieties with high productivity and quality into production to maximize the advantages of each variety, striving for an average sugarcane yield of 65 tons/ha or more, with an annual output of over 364,000 tons.
