Building Vinh city to develop to its full potential

On the afternoon of May 6, in Vinh Tan ward, candidates for the 18th term of Nghe An Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, from constituency No. 1 met with voters in Vinh Tan, Hong Son, Quang Trung, and Trung Do wards (Vinh City).

Constituency No. 1 consists of 7 candidates, including Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Duy Can - Secretary of the Party Cell, Vice Chairman of the Veterans Association of Nghe An province; Nguyen Van Dieu - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Propaganda and Movement Department, Veterans Association of Nghe An province; Phan Thi Hoan - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc of Nghe An province; Mai Thi Khanh Hong - Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc of Nghe An province, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Movement Department, Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc of Nghe An province; Le Dinh Ly - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, Party Secretary - Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Tran Anh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Administrative Reform Department, Department of Home Affairs.

At the conference, presenting their action programs, the candidates expressed their honor at being nominated as candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council. If elected, the candidates pledged to always maintain close contact with voters at their workplace, residence and place of candidacy; and to perform well the duties of elected representatives.

In particular, in addition to performing their duties and responsibilities, in their working positions, the candidates, with their responsibilities and feelings, all expressed that they will make contributions to building Vinh city to gradually become a smart city and the center of the North Central region in a number of fields: Trade, tourism, information technology, healthcare, education and training, as set out in the Resolution of the City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

In addition to their own efforts, the candidates hope to receive the support, help and trust of voters and people of Vinh city, including voters of 4 wards: Vinh Tan, Hong Son, Quang Trung and Trung Do.

Presenting the action program to voters, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy expressed: With the responsibility and sentiment of being a citizen of Vinh City, we will always make efforts and pay maximum attention, continuing to work with the Party Committee and People of the province in general and the Party Committee and People of Vinh City in particular to realize the goal of building Vinh City into an economic and cultural center of the North Central region in the spirit of Resolution 26 of the Politburo.

This is also the wish and aspiration of the majority of voters for the candidates for the Provincial People's Council. Mr. Tran Xuan Kinh, a voter of Vinh Tan ward, expressed his confidence in the quality of the candidates after listening to the action program. He also expressed his hope that the candidates will contribute to the development of the province, especially in the field of tourism.

Voter Le Van Hai, Trung Do ward expressed his hope that Nghe An province will attract dynamic investment projects, especially billion-dollar projects to serve as a driving force for rapid development; at the same time, it is necessary to build Vinh city to develop on par with other provinces.

"If Vinh City develops, Nghe An will develop," the male voter said, suggesting that the province needs to take more decisive and stronger steps and actions to build Vinh City in particular and Nghe An Province in general to soon become a prosperous province as Uncle Ho always wished.

Voter Nguyen Cong Hoat, Vinh Tan ward, suggested that the province continue to have a strategy to exploit and effectively use the advantages of the long coastline.

On behalf of the candidates, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy thanked voters of 4 wards: Vinh Tan, Hong Son, Quang Trung, Trung Do for enthusiastically participating and giving feedback to the candidates.

Through voters' opinions, sensing the requirements and great expectations for the candidates running for the 18th Provincial People's Council, the head of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the candidates will make more efforts and try harder in their positions to meet the requirements and demands of voters and the people.

In response to voters' legitimate reflections and recommendations related to life, economy, ecology and environment, the Provincial Party Secretary expressed sympathy, sharing and empathy with the difficulties that voters entrusted to him.

With the responsibility of a leader, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy affirmed that he will assign relevant agencies and units under his authority to handle the recommendations in accordance with procedures and regulations; at the same time, he emphasized that he will always devote his efforts and attention to the development of Vinh city.

Constituency No. 1 includes 14 wards and communes of Vinh city: Ben Thuy, Cua Nam, Doi Cung, Hong Son, Hung Binh, Hung Dung, Hung Hoa, Le Mao, Quang Trung, Trung Do, Truong Thi, Vinh Tan, Hung Chinh, Ha Huy Tap, with 7 candidates, elected 4 delegates to the 18th Provincial People's Council.
