Ore truck plunged into abyss, driver died on the spot
Information from the local authorities of Nam Can commune, Ky Son district said that an accident involving a tractor-trailer carrying ore had just occurred in the area, killing the driver.
According to the source, at about 10:40 a.m. on August 24, the tractor with license plate 37H - 061.xx was transporting ore from Laos to Vietnam. While traveling on National Highway 7, passing through Noong De village (Nam Can commune), it lost control and plunged into the abyss.
After the incident, local people and authorities quickly arrived at the scene but the driver was dead, trapped in the car cabin. The driver was identified as LAT (born 1986), residing in Do Luong district.
At the scene, the front of the car and the trunk were scattered in two places in a state of severe damage, nearly 100m from National Highway 7.
By late afternoon of the same day, authorities had coordinated to remove the driver's body from the scene, as well as mobilize a large crane to lift the damaged vehicle.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated by the authorities.
