Passenger bus carrying 13 people caught fire on National Highway 1A
(Baonghean.vn) - While traveling on National Highway 1A to the intersection of Dien Chau town (Dien Chau district, Nghe An), a vehicle carrying 13 passengers suddenly caught fire and smoke from the engine.
The incident happened at noon.4/7. Passenger bus with license plate 37B - 024.01 was traveling on National Highway 1A, reaching the intersection of Dien Chau town, when a passenger discovered smoke and fire coming from the engine. At the time of the fire, the bus was carrying 13 passengers from Vinh city to Nghia Dan district.

Immediately after that, the bus company stopped and moved the passengers out of the bus safely and reported to the authorities. Immediately upon receiving the news, Dien Chau District Police mobilized 20 firefighters and traffic police to promptly coordinate with people on both sides of the road to help the bus company extinguish the fire, and at the same time, divert traffic to avoid traffic congestion in the area.
It is known that the owner of the passenger bus is Ms. Dau Thi Lich, residing in Nghia Dong commune, Tan Ky district.

The cause of the fire was determined to be a short circuit in the engine room wiring, spreading to the front of the vehicle.
The vehicle suffered severe engine damage and was towed away for repairs. All passengers were transferred to another vehicle to continue their journey.
