Car caught fire violently, suspected to be due to straw getting caught in it while moving

According to witnesses, at around 1:00 p.m. on May 21, a 4-seat car driven by a man residing in Nghia Dan district, carrying his mother, wife and children, traveled from Yen Thanh to Quynh Tam commune along Provincial Road 538.

When reaching Truong Trang slope (in hamlet 9, Quynh Tam commune), the car caught fire.

Realizing there was a fire, the driver quickly stopped the car and opened the door for his mother (who was sitting in the front passenger seat) to get out. When he opened the back door for his wife and 2 children, the door got stuck. The 3 people in the back climbed into the front seat and got out safely.

In a moment, the fire rose high, burning fiercely, engulfing the car, leaving the car owner and the people helpless. The fire spread onto the road, catching on to the forest area of ​​Mr. Ho Huy Tuan (residing in Hamlet 9, Quynh Tam Commune) but was quickly stopped by the car owner and the people, preventing a forest fire.

People believe that while the vehicle was moving, straw got caught in the axle, causing the fire.
