Truck and tractor trailer crushed after head-on collision, 2 drivers trapped in cabin
(Baonghean.vn) - The collision between a truck and a tractor-trailer on National Highway 1A through Hamlet 1, Nghi Long Commune, Nghi Loc District caused severe damage to the front of both vehicles and critical injuries to both drivers.

Initial information shows that at around 7am this morning (April 22), a truck with license plate 89C - 068.47 (driver's identity unknown) carrying iron scaffolding was traveling from South to North. When it arrived in front of Lam Duc gas station, there was another car parked on the side of the road so the driver of this car turned to the left; at that moment, a tractor trailer with license plate 51C - 690.06 (driver's identity unknown) traveling in the opposite direction crashed head-on.

At the scene, the truck was lying across the road, its cargo spilled. The accident also caused a local traffic jam on National Highway 1A, stretching for more than 500m.
According to witnesses, it was raining heavily at the time. When they heard a loud bang, people living near the accident scene ran out and saw the two drivers trapped in the cabin, so they shouted to each other to pry open the door and take the victims to the emergency room.
