Watch foreign police catch getaway car with special net
The device is called the “Grappler Police Bumper” - essentially a net that can be strung around the tires of a chased vehicle, causing it to get stuck and the entire fleeing vehicle to stop at high speed in just a few seconds.

Feeling indignant about this problem, an inventor from Arizona, USA has created a special device that helps police quickly capture the subject being chased, thereby minimizing the danger to other vehicles traveling on the road.

The “Grappler Police Bumper” can be installed on the front of a police car. When it needs to be activated, officers simply press a button mounted inside the car; immediately after that, the metal frame containing the nylon net will be pushed out. The police force’s job at this time is to try to follow the offender’s car and ram the net into the vehicle’s tire.
Just by coming into contact with the target's tire, the entire net will envelop the tire, causing it to get stuck, and the vehicle moving at high speed will have to stop in just a few seconds. It can be seen that with this device, the police can both speed up the time to capture the fugitive, while still ensuring the safety of the subject and passersby.

Through the testing process, the police force has determined that the product "Grappler Police Bumper" can capture 80 - 90% of the types of vehicles commonly present on the road.
