Admission for first choice: Many majors have no candidates
(Baonghean.vn)- On the penultimate day of receiving NV1 applications, Nghe An Pedagogical College had two majors, Music Education and Physical Education, with no applications; Math Education had only 12 applications, Biology 2 applications, Literature 6 applications; Information Technology 1 application.
Many industries have no candidates
On the morning of August 11, although there was only one day left until the application deadline, the atmosphere at the registration office of Nghe An Pedagogical College was quite quiet, with only a few candidates occasionally coming in to submit their applications.
Meeting Mr. Ho Xuan Lam, Hung Tan commune, Hung Nguyen district when bringing his child to enroll in the Primary Education Department, Mr. Lam said: I have worked in education for many years but the new form of registration is quite strange. After thinking for more than a week, today the family decided to come down to submit the application for the child according to two wishes to 2 schools Vinh University and Pedagogical College. At home, we were also very worried, but coming down here to see the situation, the family was quite assured and believed that the child's results would be good.

Candidates come to register at Vinh University of Technical Education |
Nghe An Pedagogical College has 1,070 quotas this year. Up to this point, the school has received about 800 applications. With this relatively good result, the school's board of directors should have been reassured. However, the imbalance in the number of applications has made the school worried. Currently, there are two majors with "blank" applications: music education and physical education.
Some other majors, although they are traditional pedagogical majors, have very limited admission results, such as Mathematics: 12 applications, Biology: 2 applications, Literature: 6 applications; Information Technology: 1 application. The three most promising majors are Foreign Language Education, Primary Education, and Preschool Education. Although the number of applications is quite large, the school is most concerned about fake applications because in fact this year each candidate is allowed to submit 2 wishes to 2 schools. Therefore, if candidates have enough points to enter university, they will of course choose the wish that is more beneficial to them.

Dr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Principal of the school also said: With this result, we do not know how to arrange teaching staff in the next school year because there will certainly be many departments that do not have enough students to enroll. The school has also assigned departments to send registration documents directly to each candidate in the hope of attracting more candidates to the school in the 2nd Wish and expanding the enrollment area to all provinces in the country.

Nghe An Pedagogical College continues to send information to candidates registering for NV2 |
At Nghe An University of Economics, the school has received about 700 applications/1000 quotas. Of these, about 60% are candidates who are admitted based on their academic records, the rest are registered based on the results of the National High School Exam. According to Dr. Nguyen Cong Nhat, Head of the Faculty of Business Administration, in charge of enrollment: In terms of enrollment, this year is much better than last year (last year in the NV1 enrollment round, the school only received about 30% of the quota). Among them, there are quite a few faculties with a large number of registrations such as Accounting, Business Administration, Veterinary Medicine. However, there are still some majors with very low enrollment results and only reaching about 15% of the quota such as Land Management, Crop Science and Agriculture.
At Vinh University, the enrollment for the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Engineering and Technology sectors is also quite difficult and only reaches about 65% of the target.
There are still many opportunities for NV2.
With changes in the admission method, this year's first round of admission to universities and colleges has clearly been more positive and there is no more jostling than in previous years. According to statistics from universities in the area, after the first 12 days of admission, the number of applications for NV1 admission has reached over 70%.
However, many schools are still concerned about the situation of fake applications. At the University of Economics, the school predicts that out of 700 applications, there will be about 100 fake applications because students may be admitted to 2 universities at the same time. Although Vinh University of Technical Education has received 1,500 applications out of 2,000 targets, Mr. Pham Minh Tam, Deputy Head of the Training Department, still affirmed that the number of candidates coming to enroll will be lower than the number of applications because students have up to 4 wishes to enter universities and colleges.

In the last days, Vinh University opened more admissions consulting desks. |
Vinh University currently has about 4,500 applications/5,000 targets. Anticipating the problem of fake candidates, the school has planned to consider NV2 admission and plans to enroll more students than the given target in case candidates do not come to enroll.
According to the plan, by August 14, schools will announce the admission results. Candidates who have not passed the first round can apply for admission in the following 3 rounds, with the deadline for university programs before October 20 and for college programs before November 15.
This year, the admission of the following wishes is also easier because the Ministry of Education and Training does not stipulate that the admission scores of the following rounds must be higher than NV1.
Statistics at universities in the province in the first round also showed that the number of candidates submitting applications by post accounted for about 50-50%, about 30% of candidates submitted directly and only 20% of candidates submitted online.
Today, the Ministry of Education and Training has also ended the online submission of NV1 application forms.
