Mr. Nguyen Huu Luong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Huu Kiem commune said that in the past 5 years, this year is the year with the largest hail, with the largest diameter, and the longest duration.

According to the initial preliminary statistics of the People's Committee of Huu Kiem commune, although the hailstorm did not cause any human casualties, it damaged more than 12 hectares of crops and 29 hectares of spring rice ready for harvest in Huu Kiem commune, the epicenter of the hailstorm. The most severely damaged area was Khe Nhinh economic zone, in Na Luong 1 village, Huu Kiem commune. This is a key agricultural production area of the commune and the mountainous district of Ky Son.
