On the afternoon of September 3, 1969, the Politburo decided to convene an extraordinary meeting of the Party Central Committee to discuss and decide on organizing a State Funeral with the most solemn rituals, and at the same time decided to announce his Will. On September 9, 1969, the State Funeral of President Ho Chi Minh was solemnly held at the historic Ba Dinh Square.
