(Baonghean.vn) - The policy of vaccinating children aged 5-11 against Covid-19 is being urgently implemented in Vietnam to minimize the risk of infection for students, especially when they return to school. This is also an issue that many parents and schools are concerned about.

Considerations when mass testing of vaccines for children is not high

I have a preschooler and he is actuallyF0with symptoms like fever, tired for about 3 days and then my health is normal and now I am going to school.

I have also heard that the State is implementing a vaccination campaign for children from 5 to 11 years old and this is a very humane policy. However, for our family, I will not let my child get vaccinated this time. Firstly, my child has been infected with F0 so the risk of infection has been limited. Secondly, I am currently concerned that the mass verification of vaccines for children under 11 years old is not high.

I think we have to wait a while longer, when the water levelvaccinationIf the vaccination is more widespread for children, I will reconsider the vaccination for children or when they are older. At the present time, I believe that sending children back to school is appropriate because adults also have to go to work, life also has to be established and return to a new state. Moreover, we cannot wait until the disease is gone but need to accompany the school to comply with disease prevention measures.

Parents concerned about vaccinating children during disease outbreaks

Up to now, with adults, we have seen the effectiveness of proper, adequate and timely vaccination. For example, in our province, in the past, although there were many cases of infection, thanks to vaccination, the infection was mild and treatment was easy. I also think that this will also affect parents and let everyone see the importance of vaccination and that young children are of concern to the State.

Personally, I think we should also vaccinate children to ensure the best disease prevention for the current period. Recently, our school also conducted a survey of parents and over 60% of parents were vaccinated, but after the outbreak, more parents texted to ask when they would be vaccinated or asked if they could register for additional vaccinations. This shows that parents are very interested in vaccinating their children.

The issue we are concerned about now is that the coordinating units must work with the school and parents to ensure absolute safety for children before, during and after vaccination.

There are support plans for special children with underlying diseases.

The Covid-19 epidemic has been going on for nearly 3 years with very complicated developments. Therefore, parents are very concerned about the epidemic, including vaccination for children aged 5-11. In our area, the majority of parents agree. The number of parents who are concerned mainly falls into cases where the children have underlying diseases or are obese.

At our school, the school has been promoting the need to vaccinate children. In special cases, we have asked health agencies and professional agencies to provide advice to help people better understand the implementation of vaccination.

To ensure that vaccination is safe and effective, we will coordinate with the steering committee to do a good job of propaganda and consultation for parents before vaccination.

If not vaccinated, disease will break out when students return to school.

In my opinion, vaccinating children from 5 to 11 years old is extremely necessary during the current unpredictable epidemic. Vaccination will help children create antibodies, so that if they are infected, their health will not be affected much.

Authorities should study a plan to organize vaccinations for children as soon as possible. Because at this time, Vietnam has entered a "new normal" state. Therefore, young children will be at high risk of exposure to many sources of F0. Especially now that schools in Nghe An have returned to in-person learning. Therefore, children will have to interact with each other a lot every day, from playing, eating, sleeping, etc. This will be a high risk that children will be susceptible to infection. Vaccination will help children avoid the risk of severe progression. Many children in good health have been vaccinated, and if infected, they will have very few symptoms.

Early vaccination will help children prevent disease and danger.

Recently, Le Loi Primary School has distributed questionnaires to survey parents’ opinions on the issue of vaccination for children aged 5-11. Through the survey, there were some parents who agreed and some parents who did not agree on this issue.

In fact, in the past, many children at our school had good resistance, so when they got sick, they overcame the disease easily. But many children will have bad consequences and that will affect their long-term health. In my opinion, vaccination is a national policy, the authorities have carefully researched the harms and benefits of vaccination for this age group. Therefore, if vaccinated early, it will help children prevent diseases and prevent the dangers caused by Covid-19.
