Yen Thanh: More than 200 hectares of winter corn were flooded
(Baonghean.vn) - In Yen Thanh district, the rain lasted for more than 7 hours, with nearly 200 mm of rainfall, causing many fields and more than 200 hectares of winter corn to be flooded.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Head of the District's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said: Heavy rain in the past few hours has caused water from above to flow into the Bien Hoa River, causing some inter-commune roads in low-lying communes to be flooded. Currently, the localities: Long Thanh, Khanh Thanh, Lien Thanh, Vinh Thanh... are urgently removing drainage systems on the Bien Hoa River, and removing water hyacinths to clear the flow.

Yen Thanh District People's Committee directed specialized departments to grasp the area, coordinate with localities to clear the flow of small rivers and canals; communes assigned forces to be on duty at flooded roads to guide people to cross safely.
