Mr. Nguyen Huu Ly (Hamlet 8A, Hung Yen Nam Commune) lamented: My family has nearly 6 sao of land in the field of Hamlet 8, currently waiting for water but the streams and dams in the area are all dry; this year is too dry, there is a high risk of having to abandon it.
Up to this point, the entire Hung Yen Nam commune has only been able to cultivate 206 hectares of rice, and there are still 175 hectares of summer-autumn rice fields waiting for water. Of which, the commune has a policy of converting about 100 hectares to grow corn and other dry crops, but it must also wait for rain to be able to prepare the land and sow.

Khe Ranh, Hung Yen Nam commune, dried up, leaving many areas without water for summer-autumn production. |
Currently, the Gai canal that supplies water to the commune has dried up, so the commune's pumping stations can no longer operate. Although the commune has mobilized oil pumps to pump water to save the rice, it cannot improve the situation because the source has dried up. In recent days, the commune has had to ask for help from the Van Hong pumping station of Hung Trung commune to pump irrigation water, but because the pumping is against the source, it is ineffective.
