1,500 national flags were given to fishermen in Nghe An.
(Baonghean.vn) - In the program "I love my Fatherland", the leaders of the Provincial Military Command presented 1,500 national flags to fishermen in Quynh Luu district.
Towards the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2019) and the 30th anniversary of the National Defense Day, on the morning of December 12, in Quynh Thuan commune (Quynh Luu), the Youth Union of the Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Military Command of Quynh Luu district and a number of agencies, units and schools in the area to organize the program "I love my Fatherland", presenting the national flag to fishermen at sea.
Attending the program were leaders of the Provincial Military Command, leaders of Quynh Luu district, students and many fishermen in the area.

The program is meant to support and encourage the fishermen's spirit, helping them to confidently go offshore, join hands and contribute to affirming and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Provincial Military Command presented 1,500 national flags to fishermen in communes in Quynh Luu. On this occasion, agencies and units coordinated to organize the program to give 30 gifts and 10 bicycles to poor households and poor students who have overcome difficulties in the area.

On behalf of the fishermen, Mr. Dong Thanh An - a fisherman in Quynh Thuan commune thanked the agencies and units for their concern for the people in the coastal area and promised to uphold the tradition of his homeland, determined to go out to sea and develop his family's economy. At the same time, unite, help each other, resolutely fight, and contribute to protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
The national flags will be regularly hung by fishermen on the ship's cabin to show solemnity and national pride.
